About
Hello, my name is Lucas Pumarejo. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2021 with a Bachelor's of Music in Electronic Production and Design, where I focused my studies on sound design and audio post production for visual media. Although I am American and Spanish by heritage (I speak Spanish too), I was originally born in Chihuahua, Mexico and have moved around my whole life before landing in Brooklyn, NY!
Since finishing up school I have been working as a freelance audio post production specialist, typically handling all of the audio post needs for a number of mixed media projects, including video content, short films, short documentaries, video games, and recently feature films! Whether it's dialogue editing, sfx editing / sound design, or re-recording mixing, I have your needs covered. I love every aspect of the process, from painstakingly editing individual syllables to get a line of dialog sounding perfect, to stacking up layers of sounds in order to hit that bombastic sound design moment just right! I have a home studio equipped for stereo and 5.1 surround sound mixing, which is more than suitable for indie festival runs and web/streaming distribution. I'm also comfortable taking projects to one of the many larger mix rooms available to rent in the city, with many options for any budget and project scope accessible.
A number of projects I have worked on have been selected for screenings at the Downtown Festival, the Manhattan Film Festival, the Nitehawk Shorts Fest, the NFFTY, the Big Apple Film Festival and many others!
